U.S. Bancorp to Participate in Conference Call Hosted by Merrill Lynch & Company

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) announced today that Richard K. Davis, vice chairman of consumer banking and payment services, is scheduled to participate in a conference call entitled U.S. Bancorp - Re-energizing Retail Banking. The call will be hosted by Merrill Lynch & Company and is scheduled for Monday, February 3, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. (EST). The conference call will be available by phone or on the Internet.
