U.S. Bank Names Baldwin Hills Native to Lead New Baldwin Hills Branch Office

LOS ANGELES, Jan 13, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- U.S. Bank has chosen Baldwin Hills native Greely Snowden to lead the new U.S. Bank branch office at 3605 South LaBrea Avenue in the Baldwin Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The Baldwin Hills location is the third newly constructed bank office that U.S. Bank has opened in Los Angeles in the last two years. In May 2001, it opened a new office in Boyle Heights and another at the intersection of Slauson and Crenshaw. Grand opening festivities for the Baldwin Hills location are planned for February.

Snowden, who grew up in Baldwin Hills and graduated from Dorsey High School, is excited about his return to the area that is near and dear to his heart. He brings with him extensive banking experience that he plans to reinvest in the community through consultations and his work with youth.

"My goal is to build a rapport and establish trust with the community, and to let people know that I'm here to support their financial needs," Snowden said. "Our team is ready and eager to exceed our customers' expectations by providing the highest level of service possible and become a cornerstone in this community as it grows."

Upon graduation from Dorsey High School, Snowden furthered his education at Pierce College in Woodland Hills and earned an associate's degree from Los Angeles City College. He completed work at the American Institute of Banking, graduated from the First Interstate Bank Management Program, the Glendale College Professional Development Program, and the Wells Fargo Banking Center Management Program.

Snowden's career path prior to taking a leadership position at U.S. Bank included experience at First Interstate Bank in Los Angeles, TRW Systems Employees Federal Credit Union in Redondo Beach, Calif., Northrop Employees Federal Credit Union in Hawthorne, Calif., the Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union and Wells Fargo Bank Treasury Management in Los Angeles.
