U.S. Bancorp to Present at the Merrill Lynch Banking and Financial Services

Investor Conference

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) announced today that Jerry A. Grundhofer, president and chief executive officer, is scheduled to present at the Merrill Lynch Banking and Financial Services Investor Conference.  The presentation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2002, at 5:25 p.m. (EDT) at The Pierre Hotel, New York City, N.Y.
