U.S. Bank Earns Top Marks in 2015 Corporate Equality Index

U.S. Bank Earns 100 percent on Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Thirteenth Annual Scorecard on LGBT Workplace Equality

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 19, 2014-- For the eighth year in a row, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation has named U.S. Bank as one of the Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality. U.S. Bank received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2015 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. U.S. Bank is one of 366 major U.S. businesses which also earned top marks this year.

“It is an honor to be recognized by the HRC for our LGBT equality efforts at U.S. Bank,” said Richard Davis, chairman, president and chief executive officer of U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB), the parent company of U.S. Bank. “A diverse workplace that fosters inclusion benefits everyone – our employees, customers, shareholders and communities.”

The 2015 CEI rated 971 businesses, evaluating LGBT-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community. U.S. Bank’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
