U.S. Bank and Jingit Receive Most Innovative Prepaid Program Honors for 2012 Paybefore Awards

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 2012-- U.S. Bank, in partnership with Jingit, has been recognized by Paybefore as a winner in the “Most Innovative Prepaid Program” category at the 2012 Paybefore Awards. Jingit, an online and mobile-based marketing platform, pays consumers money to watch ads and provide feedback. Jingit users then can spend their earnings through their U.S. Bank Jingit Visa® Prepaid Card. Paybefore Awards is the most prestigious recognition of excellence in the worldwide prepaid and stored value card industry.

“Recognition for ‘Most Innovative Prepaid Program’ is a great honor for U.S. Bank and demonstrates our leadership position as a banking innovator,” said Kevin Morrison, senior vice president at U.S. Bank. “Our partnership with Jingit has proven very valuable, providing us the opportunity to introduce the prepaid card to brand conscious and tech-savvy customers. As our relationship deepens, that opportunity expands to other valuable products and services offered by U.S. Bank.”

“We are thrilled to be recognized in this category. Having U.S. Bank as an innovation partner continues to help us redefine what is possible in the prepaid market,” said Todd Rooke, co-chief executive officer at Jingit. “Jingit values prepaid as an integral part of connecting brands and consumers with the ability to instantly spend cash incentives and rebates both online and in the real world.”

The U.S. Bank Jingit Visa Prepaid Card was selected by a panel of five industry experts who served as judges for this year’s competition, which—once again—included entries from around the world.

“Paybefore Awards was created to honor the companies and individuals that are keeping prepaid on the cutting edge of payments,” said Loraine DeBonis, Paybefore editor-in-chief and chair of the judging panel. “Our industry continues to break new ground and expand the reach of electronic payments because of companies like U.S. Bank and Jingit who make innovation and execution a priority.”

The U.S. Bank Jingit Visa Prepaid Card will vie for best-in-category distinction, which will be announced during the Paybefore Awards ceremony on March 12 at the Prepaid Expo USA (www.prepaidexpousa.com).
