U.S. Bank Honored with Nomination for Webby Award


U.S. Bank is a finalist for the 15th annual America Online (AOL) Webby Awards as chosen by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The award honors the year's best work in websites, interactive advertising, online film and video and mobile.

U.S. Bank is one of five organizations nominated in the service category for online banking and bill pay. In addition to the award chosen by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, U.S. Bank is in the running for a People's Voice Award, which is open for voting until Thursday, April 28 at http://webby.aol.com/media_types/web?focused_on_category=924#cat_id_924.

"We are very pleased to be nominated because it underscores our commitment to serving customers and creating a superior experience," said Meheriar Hasan, executive vice president and head of the Internet channel group at U.S. Bank.

According to the Webby Awards website, the People's Voice Awards has garnered hundreds of thousands of votes from the Web community all over the world each year since the awards began in 1996. Last year, the 14th Annual Webby Awards received nearly 10,000 entries from over 60 countries and all 50 states and generated over 750 million media impressions worldwide.

The Webby Awards will air live online on June 13, 2011.
