U.S. Bank FlexPerks Receives International GOLD ECHO Award as One of the World's Best Direct Marketing Campaigns

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov 01, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

U.S. Bank's FlexPerks Travel Rewards program has been recognized by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) as one the world's best direct marketing campaigns. U.S. Bank and its agency partner, DirectDesign, earned a 2010 International GOLD ECHO award in the Financial Products and Services category for its marketing campaign to transition former U.S. Bank WorldPerks Visa customers to the new U.S. Bank FlexPerks Travel Rewards program.

"We're very proud to receive this international recognition from the DMA, a well-known and respected organization in the direct marketing industry," said Cliff Cook, chief marketing officer for U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions. "Our customers appreciate the tremendous value they receive from their FlexPerks rewards and the ease of redemption. We feel the program has been a huge success with more than 85 percent of former WorldPerks customers transitioned to the FlexPerks Travel Rewards program so far."

The ECHO awards were announced during the DMA 2010 Conference & Exhibition on Oct. 12. Winners were chosen in 12 industry categories from more than 1,000 entries. Award judges are industry marketers who rigorously assess direct marketing campaigns based on strategy, creativity and results.
