U.S. Bank's FlexPerks Visa Triples Rewards for Charitable Giving

U.S. Bank is rewarding its FlexPerks cardholders for their charitable giving efforts, offering triple FlexPoints for donations cardholders make with their FlexPerks Travel Rewards or FlexPerks Select Rewards credit card. Cardholders can receive triple FlexPoints for donations to over 25,000 eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.

"In today's challenging economy, supporting the communities where we live and work is more important than ever," said Cliff Cook, chief marketing officer for U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions. "We're excited to see how our customers respond to this unique opportunity to be rewarded for their philanthropic efforts."

In addition to rewarding cardholders for their charitable giving, U.S. Bancorp strengthens communities through a number of its own philanthropic initiatives. In 2009, the U.S. Bancorp Foundation contributed over $20.6 million in grants and employee matching gifts to organizations across the country. The company also contributed over $8.1 million in corporate contributions and nonprofit sponsorships in 2009.

Named the "Best Credit Card if You Want Travel Perks" by Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine, the FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa offers industry-leading value and innovation for customers who want travel rewards. In addition to travel, customers can earn cash back, merchandise, gift cards and statement credits with FlexPerks. Cardholders also enjoy the universal acceptance that is available to Visa card customers.
