New U.S. Bank Credit Wellness Center Helps Consumers Manage Their Credit Score and Make It Work for Them

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug 23, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

U.S. Bank has introduced an interactive website that helps consumers manage their credit score so that it can be an asset at important moments throughout their lives. Visitors to the U.S. Bank Credit Wellness Center will find answers to common questions about credit, tools to help them make good decisions about their own credit, and tips on how to protect it for a lifetime.

"U.S. Bank is committed to helping consumers understand how to use credit wisely, and why establishing a positive credit history is so important for their financial health," said Cliff Cook, chief marketing officer for U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions. "The U.S. Bank Credit Wellness Center reinforces our commitment by offering consumers an easy-to-use, one-stop credit education resource."

The interactive site allows consumers to participate in a number of credit education activities. They can slide a bar to better understand a good vs. bad credit score, take an online quiz to test their credit knowledge, watch videos about people in different credit situations, and even use a Credit Score Simulator to see how their financial decisions impact their own credit score. Visit www.usbank.com/creditwellness for details.

The company has a strong history of credit education efforts supporting communities nationwide. In partnership with both the American Bankers Association Education Foundation and Visa, U.S. Bank branches conduct financial education seminars helping customers understand credit and how to use it responsibly.
