Red, White and Blue Lights Showcase U.S. Bank's Spectacular July 3

U.S. Bank Plaza, the tallest building in Wisconsin, will become a bright
beacon of red, white and blue light the first weekend of July. The
patriotic light display is part of U.S. Bank's spectacular July 3
Beginning Friday, July 2, from 8 p.m. (CDT) until 1 a.m., Saturday, July
3, from 9 p.m. until midnight and Sunday, July 4, from 8:00 p.m. until
midnight, six, 4,000-watt xenon white lights will illuminate the sky
above U.S. Bank's 42-story regional headquarters at 777 E. Wisconsin
Avenue. The observation deck in the U.S. Bank building will also host
24, high output LED color-changing red, white and blue lights. According
to Bill Bertha, U.S. Bank Wisconsin market president, the light show,
set up by New Berlin's Exciting Events, should be able to be seen on a
clear night from miles away in adjacent counties.
"This virtual display highlights our city which really shines during the
summer months," said Bertha. "It also showcases our annual fireworks
show noted by enthusiasts as the biggest and best in the Midwest."
U.S. Bank has hosted Milwaukee's fireworks as a way to celebrate
America's birthday for more than 35 years, and last drew more than
800,000 people to the Lakefront party. This year, Bartolotta's Fireworks
Company will ignite about 7,000 shells in the hour-long, July 3 U.S.
Bank Eve Fireworks display, which begins at dusk (approximately 9:25
p.m. CDT) at Veterans Park and various locations throughout Milwaukee's
Lakefront. The display will be synchronized to a musical melody that
will air on 94.5 Lake FM. Channel Fox 6 WITI-TV will also broadcast the
display live. In case of heavy rain, fog or severe weather, the U.S.
Bank Fireworks will be rescheduled to Sunday, July 4th at
9:25 p.m. CDT.
