U.S. Bank Expands Industry-Leading FlexPerks Rewards Program

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 10, 2009-- U.S. Bank is harnessing the success of its FlexPerksSM Visa card rewards program and expanding FlexPerks to its broader portfolio of credit and check card products. Consumers and small businesses can now enroll in FlexPerks to earn more valuable rewards – including cash back – and combine rewards earned on their credit and check cards. FlexPerks gives customers the flexibility to choose the reward they want, whether its cash, travel, merchandise, gift cards or statement credits.

“What began as a new rewards program for our former WorldPerks® Visa® cardmembers has become an exciting opportunity for even more customers to earn rewards that they choose, including cash back on their purchases,” said Cliff Cook, chief marketing officer for U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions. “FlexPerks puts our customers in charge with more reward options and less restrictions. They can also combine rewards points between credit and check cards to maximize their reward earning potential.”

Consumers and small businesses can use FlexPerks credit and check cards to earn a number of cash back options. They can also choose to earn free award travel, starting at only 20,000 FlexPointsSM (up to a $400 ticket value) on more than 150 airlines, with no blackout dates, capacity controls or e-ticket redemption fees. In addition to the cash back and travel rewards, other reward options include merchandise, gift cards or statement credits.
