MINNEAPOLIS & ORLANDO, Nov 25, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- U.S. Bank and Planet Hollywood International, Inc. have launched the Planet Hollywood Rewards Visa Platinum Card.

Simply by making everyday purchases with the Planet Hollywood Rewards Visa Platinum Card, cardmembers earn points that are redeemed automatically for $25 Planet Hollywood rewards certificates--valid toward lodging, dining, merchandise, entertainment and more. Five points are earned for every net $1 spent in purchases at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino Las Vegas, including participating merchants at the resort, and Planet Hollywood restaurants and bars, located in popular U.S. travel destinations. For purchases made everywhere else Visa cards are accepted, cardmembers will earn one point for each net $1 spent.

Other exclusive cardmember benefits include V.I.P. reservations and "jump the line" privileges, allowing cardmembers to make advance reservations and bypass any waiting line to receive first available seating at Planet Hollywood restaurants and bars. Plus, new cardmembers will receive 1,000 bonus points, a free Planet Hollywood t-shirt and a $25 gift card for Buca di Beppo, the newest member to the Planet Hollywood family, after making their first purchase on the card.

The Planet Hollywood Rewards Visa Platinum Card has immediate benefits built into its unique program. Guests and customers that submit their application to a Planet Hollywood associate while visiting at a Planet Hollywood restaurant or bar will also receive valuable coupons during their visit--$10 off merchandise and $10 off food and beverages. Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino guests who submit applications to a Planet Hollywood associate will receive special coupons/certificates valid during their stay for discounted and/or complimentary services at the casino and participating merchants.

"This new rewards card provides an exciting way for people to maximize their experience at Planet Hollywood's world-class restaurants, and resort," said Pat Coll, executive vice president of Retail Payment Solutions at U.S. Bank. "We're pleased to partner with Planet Hollywood to offer this program."
