Chief Executive Officer
- Patrick Sinks has served as MGIC Investment Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer since March 2015. He began his career with the company at its primary subsidiary Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corp. (MGIC) in 1978 as a member of the accounting team. He earned several promotions culminating with the role of Senior Vice President – Controller and Chief Accounting Officer before being handpicked by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Curt Culver, to eventually succeed him as MGIC’s leader. Mr. Sinks was then moved to the sales side of the business as Senior Vice President – Field Operations and was subsequently promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer.
Sinks holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Mary, earned his Executive MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Duke University’s FUQUA School of Business.
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Timothy J. Mattke is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MGIC Investment Corporation and MGIC. He joined the Company in 2006. He served as our Controller from 2009 to 2014, and before then held other positions within the Accounting and Finance Departments. Before joining MGIC, Mr. Mattke was an audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He has a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well an MA in Accountancy from that University and is a CPA.
Executive Vice President - Chief Risk Officer
Stephen Mackey joined MGIC in 2015 and is the company's Executive Vice President - Chief Risk Officer. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, and came to MGIC from JP Morgan Chase & Company where he had held a number of senior leadership positions and most recently served as Managing Director, Firmwide Market Risk. His diverse background includes various leadership positions with Fannie Mae, where he worked for 13 years; managerial experience with the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (the predecessor to the Federal Housing Finance Agency), which regulated Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac; employment with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System; and service as CFO of a successful start-up commercial bank. Mr. Mackey earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Michigan State University and his Master of Science degree in finance from The George Washington University.

Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Jeffrey H. Lane joined MGIC Investment in 1996, leaving private practice law. Prior to joining MGIC Investment, Mr. Lane spent 19 years as a partner, concentrating on corporate and securities law, at Foley & Lardner, a law firm headquartered in Milwaukee. He joined Foley & Lardner in 1975 after earning his J.D. from Boston University, graduating Cum Laude. He earned his bachelor's in 1970 from Columbia University.

Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development
Jay Hughes is MGIC's Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development. He began his sales career in 1987 in Washington, D.C. as an Account Executive. After moving to California in 1998 as a Sales Manager, he was promoted to Managing Director in 2001 where managed the Pacific Region. He moved to Milwaukee in 2015 to assume his current role. He hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Villanova School of Business.
