FARMINGDALE, N.Y., (May 18, 2001) - Misonix, Inc. (NASDAQ NM: MSON) - named Bernhard A. Berger to the position of Vice President of the Scientific / Industrial Products Division of Misonix Inc. Mr. Berger, who will report to Misonix CEO Michael McManus, has approximately 20 years of sales and engineering experience in ultrasonic products and process control instrumentation.

Most recently, he was the Sales Manager - Worldwide of the ultrasonic products division of Introtek International, an Edgewood, New York-based manufacturer of process instrumentation from 1995 until this month. While at Introtek, Mr. Berger's division consistently exceeded its sales targets.

As we ramp up the introduction of both new and improved industrial products, we are very pleased to be able to draw on Mr. Berger's substantial experience," commented Michael McManus. "Bernie has vast experience worldwide in selling ultrasonic products. In addition, his extensive and varied technical experience include positions as a Research Scientist, Formulations Chemist, and Sales Manager of Industrial & Municipal Process Instrumentation Engineering and OEM Medical Device Manufacturing," Mr. McManus continued.

Mr. Berger holds a Bachelor of (Science?) degree in chemistry from Adelphi University.
