|Cabot Oil & Gas Extends Beaurline Field With 9 Mmcf Per Day Well|
HOUSTON, April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation (NYSE: COG) today announced an extension of the Beaurline field with the successful completion of its Beaurline #12 well. The well was completed at depths of 11,800 feet to 12,560 feet with over 200 feet of net pay in the Vicksburg Sand on the North McAllen Ranch structure. The well is producing 9 Mmcf of natural gas and 28 Bbls of condensate per day with a flowing tubing pressure of 7,000 psi on a 15/64 choke. COG has a 100% working interest in the well.
The Beaurline #12 follows the Beaurline #9 and #11 wells which have consistently flowed at rates of 9 and 4 Mmcf per day, respectively. All of the wells are producing naturally without stimulation.
Two more wells are planned for the area along with a 3-D seismic survey on COG's acreage adjacent to the existing field. COG's expanding 1997 Gulf Coast exploration program also includes a 10 well program to be drilled in the Hostetter area of McMullen County as a result of a 92 square mile proprietary 3-D seismic survey conducted in 1996.
