|Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation Announces Management Changes|
HOUSTON, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation (NYSE: COG) announced today that its Board of Directors elected H. Baird Whitehead, age 48, to Senior Vice President. In his new role Whitehead will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the Company.
Whitehead joined the Company in September 1980 as a Sr. Drilling Engineer and has held various senior management positions throughout the Company since then. He holds a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Whitehead has successfully managed the Appalachian region's exploration and production activities for the last six years which is the Company's largest concentrated asset base.
James M. Trimble, age 50, Senior Vice President, will concentrate on the expanding exploration efforts of the Company along with Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation's ongoing acquisition focus. Trimble holds both a B.S. and M.S. from Mississippi State University in Petroleum Engineering. Trimble joined the Company in May 1983 and has served in various positions of increasing responsibility as a member of the senior management team.
