ATLANTA, January 10, 2011 — Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (NYSE: MMC) announced today that it has been awarded LEED Gold certification for its offices at 3560 Lenox Road in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the U.S. Green Building Council’s certification system for the design, construction, and operation of green buildings.

Elizabeth Barry, Sustainability Officer at Marsh & McLennan Companies, said: “Atlanta is our second location to strive for and achieve LEED Gold certification. We are very proud to receive this prestigious designation. Several of our locations are in the process of attaining LEED certification and we continue to make every effort to integrate green strategies into the design, construction, and workplace practices throughout our offices. Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter and Oliver Wyman – businesses of the Marsh & McLennan Companies organization – are co-located at 3560 Lenox Road, occupying five floors, or nearly 124,000 square feet, of the 20-story building.
