Mattersight Study Quantifies the Impact of Human Behavior and Personality on Private Sector Education Application Rates

Nov 14, 2012 (Marketwire via COMTEX) --Mattersight Corporation (NASDAQ: MATR) today announced the results of its study on the impact of human behavior and personality on private sector education application rates. Using the company's Behavioral Analytics platform to analyze every second of human interaction on an aggregated data set of private sector education application and enrollment interactions, the impact of human behavior and personality on application rates has been quantified. By applying its proprietary algorithms and patented processes to this data set, Mattersight has identified the following attributes:

• Prospective student personality and behavioral data
• Enrollment advisor performance
• Application rates

This analysis revealed dramatic patterns regarding the impact of prospective student/enrollment advisor behavioral connections on application rates at private sector education institutions. Specifically, when there is a strong behavioral connection, as opposed to a weak behavioral connection, between prospective student and enrollment advisor, private sector education application rates are 200% to 700% higher.  This insight, made actionable by Mattersight's Predictive Behavioral Routing, can drive a significant increase in application rates.
