| Brightpoint North America to be Sole Distributor of HTC GSM Devices to Regional Operators and their Distribution Channels |
PLAINFIELD, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2006--Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL), a global leader in distributing wireless devices and providing customized logistic services, announced today that its subsidiary Brightpoint North America L.P. (Brightpoint) has signed an agreement with High Tech Computer Corp. (HTC) to distribute HTC GSM devices. The agreement permits Brightpoint to serve as the sole authorized distributor for HTC's Microsoft(R) Windows Mobile(R)-based GSM devices and related accessories to regional carriers, mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) and their respective independent dealers, value-added resellers (VARs), and retailers in the United States and Canada.
