HKL1232 built with 2-speed hydraulic pump and large jaw opening
Rockford, IL - March 16, 2007 - Greenlee, a Textron company (NYSE: TXT), today announced it now offers the HKL1232, a rugged 12-ton crimping tool, built with a 2-speed hydraulic pump and a large jaw opening making the insertion and removal of connectors faster, safer, and easier.
The HKL1232 has a 2-speed hydraulic pump that advances rapidly until it contacts the connector before shifting to a lower speed to complete the crimp. When the relief valve pops open, it indicates that the crimp is complete. To retract the ram, simply twist and close the movable handle.
The “C” shaped head has a wide 1.3"(32 mm) opening that makes it easy to place the tool onto the connector and remove it from the connector. The head also rotates 180° to get into tight places. The HKL1232 uses all industry “U” style or shell-type dies designed for 12-ton crimping tools. Push buttons permit dies to be inserted and removed easily.
Like many other Greenlee crimping tools, the HKL1232 is UL and cUL classified with 7 brands of copper and aluminum color-coded code lugs and splices, including Anderson, Blackburn, FCI Burndy, Ilsco, Panduit, Penn-Union, Thomas and Betts.
The HKL1232 weighs just 14.5 pounds, features fiberglass handles and a rubber covered pump block. It also comes in a durable molded carrying case for added protection.
