NYTimes.com’s New Video Player is Formatted and Optimized for Web and
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 2012--
The New York Times today relaunched its video experience on NYTimes.com,
which features a new design, larger player and improved navigation.
The new video
experience is designed for optimal viewing across platforms and
devices, for the Web, smartphones and tablets, as well as The Times’s
assortment of mobile apps. The larger format player is ideal for viewing
both short-form news reports as well as more extensive features.
Videos are organized within a streamlined collection of channel pages
based on subject, while top-of-page navigation allows for simple and
efficient browsing through The Times’s comprehensive video archive.
Videos are organized into 11 categories including News/TimesCast,
Editor’s Choice, World, U.S., Business, Science, Opinion, Arts, Style,
Sports and Latest News.
