The Cherokee brand, which began as a footwear brand in 1973, is an iconic American family lifestyle brand, offering classic, casual comfort at affordable prices. Cherokee Inc. acquired Sideout and related trademarks in November 1997. Sideout is an authentic, casual “California Lifestyle” brand; street and beach inspired; active, and genuine in style. The Carole Little, Saint Tropez-West, All That Jazz and Chorus Line brands and trademarks were acquired by Cherokee in December 2002, and are recognized women's brands. In September 2012, the Cherokee Group acquired Liz Lange Maternity and Completely Me Brands. Liz Lange Maternity is one of the most recognized and respected maternity brands sold in North America and is exclusively available at Target stores in the U.S. and Canada. Completely Me by Liz Lange is a collection of comfortable, sophisticated everyday apparel. In January 2013, Cherokee re-acquired the Cherokee School Uniform category strengthening the Company's relationship with Target through a multi-year license term, which includes separate minimum guarantees and additional royalties. In January 2014, Cherokee acquired the worldwide Tony Hawk and Hawk signature apparel brands. The brand was, and will continue to be, exclusively licensed in the United States to Kohl's Corporation with Tony Hawk clothing and accessories sold in 1,158 Kohl's Department Stores and online. Tony Hawk signature clothing and accessories is also available online and in Sports Direct stores throughout the UK, Ireland, and select European countries, in addition to Walmart Canada. In May 2015, Cherokee acquired casual lifestyle brand Everyday California®. Everyday California's apparel line includes men's and women's apparel, accessories and footwear sold at its core retail stores in La Jolla, online and in select locations throughout California. Most recently, The company is dedicated to providing relaxed, immersive shopping experiences that engage and delight customers. In October 2015, Cherokee aqcquired Flip Flop Shops®, a leading franchise retail chain dedicated to offering the hottest brands and latest styles of flip flops, casual footwear and accessories. Since its acquisition, Cherokee has focused on growing the concept by exploring large-scale strategic partnerships in the United States, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Latin America, and by expanding into new channels of distribution including retail stores, shop-in-shops, mobile, and e-commerce. Most recently, in December 2016, Cherokee acquired Hi-Tec Sports International Holdings B.V. (“Hi-Tec”), a global footwear company, that designs, markets and sells footwear globally, primarily under the Hi-Tec and Magnum brands.
