Bruce Berkowitz Elected to White Mountains' Board

HAMILTON, Bermuda, May 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of Directors of White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd. (NYSE: WTM) today elected Bruce Berkowitz to the Board of Directors.

Bruce Berkowitz is the Founder and Managing Member of Fairholme Capital Management, L.L.C., a registered investment adviser, and the President and Director of Fairholme Funds, Inc., investment adviser to The Fairholme Fund (Nasdaq: FAIRX). Prior to founding Fairholme Capital, Mr. Berkowitz was a portfolio manager at Smith Barney, Inc. and Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc.
