Louis G. Lower II became the President and Chief Executive Officer of Horace Mann in February 2000. Concern for educators prompted Horace Mann's foundation and is still the driving force behind its continued commitment to excellence. This is best seen, perhaps, through the Horace Mann Abraham Lincoln Fellowship Program. Horace Mann teamed up with the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum to offer 50 teachers a fellowship to study the life and legacy of our 16th president. Horace Mann also offers annual scholarships to help educators continue their education.
