Amerada Hess Corporation (NYSE: AHC) announced today that Jay R. Wilson has joined the Company as Vice President-Investor Relations. Mr. Wilson will assume full responsibility for this function and all other external corporate communications following a transition period. He will be replacing Carl Tursi, age 62, who will be retiring after 28 years with Amerada Hess.
 
Mr. Wilson has extensive experience as an equity analyst covering the energy sector. He was Vice President-U.S. Equity Research for J.P. Morgan Securities, Inc. from 1994 to 2002 where he was responsible for the coverage of North American based integrated oil companies. Prior to that, he was a research analyst with Salomon Brothers covering exploration and production companies. Mr. Wilson, who is 39 years old, also has served as President of the Oil Analysts Group of New York and as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Petroleum Investment Analysts.
