AVX Corporation is pleased to offer you the opportunity to automatically reinvest the dividends that you receive on your holdings of AVX Common Stock through our Dividend Reinvestment and Stock Purchase Plan (the "Plan"). In addition, the Plan allows you to invest up to $2,000 each month toward the purchase of AVX Common Stock for your account.

This Plan provides our shareholders a simple and convenient way to purchase additional shares of AVX Common Stock, without paying brokerage commissions. Participation is entirely voluntary and can be terminated at any time.
