SALEM, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 11, 2002--Standex International Corporation (NYSE: SXI) announced today that Randy Scott has joined the Company as Vice President of the Consumer Group and President of Standard Publishing. Scott is replacing Dan Miles, who had previously announced his retirement.

"His leadership experience in publishing and consumer retail businesses will help Standex's efforts to capitalize on market opportunities for Standard Publishing as well as for our Consumer Group as a whole." In addition to Standard Publishing, which publishes religious periodicals, curricula and books, Standex's Consumer Group also includes Berean Christian Stores, a retailer of religious books, music, gifts and church supplies; and Standex Direct, a direct marketer of specialty foods.

Prior to joining Standex, Scott spent 11 years at Cook Communications, a Christian publishing company, where he held various positions in general management before being promoted to Vice President of Business Development and ultimately, Vice President and Publisher. Prior to Cook Communications, Scott was President of Rainfall, Inc.
