| Standex Named Edward F. Paquette as Vice President/CFO |
| SALEM, NH, June 24, 1998 . . .
Standex International Corporation (NYSE:SXI)
(NYSE:SXI) announced today the appointment of Edward F. Paquette to the position of Vice
President/Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation effective July 1, 1998. Mr. Paquette
replaces Lindsay M. Sedwick who is retiring as Senior Vice President/Chief Financial
Officer after 28 years of service with Standex. Prior to joining Standex Mr. Paquette was for 27 years an International Partner with the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP. While with Deloitte & Touche Mr. Paquette spent a number of years in Europe and Latin America, as well as in the United States, working with multinational clients of the firm including Standex International Corporation. Mr. Paquette received his accounting degree from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. In announcing the appointment, Edward J. Trainor, President and CEO of Standex said, "The breadth of experience and intimate knowledge of the Company which Ed Paquette brings to Standex will be invaluable as we continue to execute our plans to refocus our businesses into three clearly defined areas to aggressively insure the future growth of the Corporation."
