| Standex International Announces Expansion Of Its Berean Christian Stores Division |
| SALEM, NH, August 13, 1998 . . .
Standex International Corporation (NYSE:SXI)
(NYSE:SXI) announced today the recent opening of two new stores in its Berean Christian
Stores Division in Houston, TX and Albuquerque, NM. In addition, Berean has recently moved
its Cincinnati, OH store to a new 25,000 square foot location making it the largest store
in the chain, and will move its Fresno, CA store to a new 24,000 square foot location by
September 1, 1998. Berean Christian Stores, with 23 stores located in 10 states, is one of the largest non-denominational religious Christian retailers selling books, music and other supplies to individuals, schools and churches. Edward J.
